GAIL

GAIL...as a child Gail loved to do hair. The picture of her Dad wearing pink rollers with Gail smiling proudly, hangs in her salon today. Gail graduated with honors from Scientific School of Beauty in 1981.
Over the years Gail has kept her skills up by attending classes and hair shows whenever they were available. Her passion was shared with Amanda who attended these hair shows with her since she was two. 
In September 2013 Gail and Amanda opened Cortex Hair Salon! 
Gail's specialty is with FINE hair. It's all in a good haircut and she knows how to cut it!
She also loves coloring, highlighting and men's hair cuts.
On her time off she loves to travel, play squash, badminton or her all time favorite is pickle ball.
The best thing about being a stylist she says," is meeting the people and it never feels like work."

Amanda has always loved doing hair!
She started attending hair shows with her Mom at the age of two. After attending a show she couldn't wait to get home and practice what she learnt on her mannequin head, she fondly named Shirley Doris.
She also loved to cut all her dolls hair off which didn't impress Mom.
Her keen attention to detail and design is clearly apparent in her work.
As a child, she could French Braid her own hair without being taught, just by the feel of it being done to her own hair.
Amanda loves all aspects of hair styling and her specialty is in coloring, blow drying and hair extensions.
